Balasore: A woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Kuchiakoili village under Soro police limits in Balasore district. The deceased woman’s family members accused her husband and mother-in-law of murdering her.
According to reports, Runu, daughter of Prahlad Das from Khirakona village, was married to Rajendra Mallick from Kochiakoiili village about nine years ago in a traditional ceremony. Runu was found hanging in their bedroom today. Rajendra claimed to have rescued her and rushed her to the Soro Community Health Centre, where she was pronounced dead.
Upon being informed, Runu’s family members arrived at the hospital and accused her husband and mother-in-law of murdering her.
The incident has sparked tension in the hospital after Runu’s family members allegedly assaulted Rajendra and his family.
Upon being informed, Soro police reached the spot and intervened in the matter.
Meanwhile, police have detained Rajendra and registered a case in this connection.
