Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a woman journalist allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train. Her mutilated body was recovered from the railway tracks near Bapuji Nagar.

Madhusmita Parida, who worked for a web channel, had got married in March. However, her marital life was not reportedly running well due to the alleged extra-marital affairs of her husband.

In a video shared on her instagram page before her death, Madhusmita claimed that her husband was having an affair with another woman and refused to live with her.

The video revealed a distressed Madhusmita, stating that she couldn’t tolerate the situation anymore. The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Capital Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Her husband Sridhar Jena, however, denied any such major discord between them. He said that all the issues were resolved in police station.

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased alleged that Madhusmita was murdered by her husband. They demanded strict action against the accused.
