Koraput: In a tragic incident, a woman was killed and seven others in the family including a one and half-year-old child were injured in a lightning strike at Silapada village under Lamtaput block in Koraput district today afternoon.
According to reports, lightning struck the family while all the members were inside the house.
All the injured have been admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Lamtaput.
Following the incident, a pall of gloom descended on the village.
