Jaleswar: A woman was killed in a lightning strike in Chandipur village under Basta police limits of Balasore district on Monday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Minati Mukhi.
According to reports, while Minati was returning home from the field in the afternoon lightning struck her. Family members rushed her to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Basta. However, she was declared dead by the doctor at the CHC.
