Angul: A woman missing for the last one month from Gohiraposi village in Angul district was rescued from Chhendipada Reserve Forest on Wednesday.

Mami Bhutia (34), wife of Bairagi Bhutia of Bahalsahi village, had reportedly gone to attend nature's call in the forest near Gohiraposi village on January 11 but had not returned back.

Unable to find her after searching everywhere possible, family members lodged a missing complaint at Chhendipada Police Station but to no avail.

It was when some youths of neighbouring Dahibar village had gone to the forest for picnicking they found Mami lying unconscious near a bush.

They immediately informed her family members and rushed her in an ambulance to Chhendipada Community Health Centre (CHC) where she is presently undergoing treatment.

On getting information, Chhendipada police rushed to the hospital. Details on where she was staying for the last one month could be ascertained after her condition stabilises, said police.
