Bhadrak: In a shocking incident, the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Bhadrak Town Police Station, Monalisa Kar, was robbed in a crowded marketplace – Kacheri Bazaar, a bustling vegetable market in Bhadrak town on Monday evening. The incident took place around 7 PM.

According to reports, Kar had gone to buy vegetables when two miscreants on a black motorcycle approached her and snatched her gold chain.

As she raised an alarm, locals sprang into action and managed to catch one of the culprits while the other fled with the stolen jewelry.

The captured suspect was handed over to the police, who have launched an investigation to track down the second perpetrator.

Shockingly, a similar robbery occurred at the same location around the same time the previous day, raising concerns about safety in the area. The Bhadrak Town Police have intensified their probe into both incidents.
