Baripada: In a shocking turn of events, a woman tried to set herself on fire after a familial dispute. Her husband and aged mother-in-law too suffered from burn injuries as they had rushed to save her.
The said incident occurred in Baidapur village under Betanati police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
As per reports, Saraswati Singh was upset over a dispute in her family and resultantly poured kerosene over herself and set herself on fire. Her husband Gaura and aged mother-in-law Raimani attempted to save her and got serious burn injuries themselves.
They were first taken to Betanati health centre and then to PRM Medical College and Hospital in Baripada. The trio was in a critical state by the time of filing of this report.
