Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a woman and her son died in a lightning strike at Janhimula village under Derabis block in Kendrapara district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Sashirekha Barik and Rabindra Barik.
According to reports, Sashirekha and Rabindra had gone to harvest green gram from their field.
At around 5.00 PM while they were harvesting green gram it suddenly started to rain accompanied by thunderclaps and lightning. The duo was killed in the lightning strike.
