Balangir: While the marital discord between Dr. Sumit Sahu and Tapaswini Dash of Berhampur is still afresh in the minds of people of the State, another woman has reportedly staged dharna in front of her husband’s house in Balangir for her rights.
The woman identified as Lopamudra Mishra along with her minor son is staging dharna in front of the house of her husband Basudev Mishra at Tikrapada in Balangir town.
Reportedly, following a marital dispute, Lopamudra had left Basudev’s house in 2018 along with her son.
She had with the help of police taken back her belongings, which she had allegedly brought as dowry, and returned to her father’s house in Sambalpur. Following it, Basudev had filed for a divorce.
However, she had been staying in a rented house at Talpali in Balangir for the last few months. It was after being asked to vacate the rented house, Lopamudra is now seeking entry into Basudev’s house.
On the other hand, Basudev said that Lopamudra had left the house on her own and why is she now creating such scene while the matter is subjudice. He said that he will act according to the court’s order.
