Cuttack: A woman was attacked with acid at Nuapatna village under Tigiria police limits in Cuttack district on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the woman identified as Rina Sahu (36) was at her house when some miscreants entered the house and attacked her with acid at around 4 am.
She was rescued by police and admitted to Tigiria Community Health Centre but later shifted to SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack.
Sahu alleged that she was attacked by four persons over some loan issue. She had borrowed some money in the past and still had to pay back some amount.
She has sustained 50 percent burn injuries and is presently undergoing treatment at the surgery ward of SCB Medical College & Hospital.
