Berhampur: Video of a woman being thrashed inside a running train over suspicion of being a sorcerer has gone viral.
In the video, a woman wearing rings studded with coloured stones on all her fingers is seen seating inside the train clutching a bag close to her chest while her co-passengers both men and women are slapping her. A woman co-passenger is seen hurling abuse in Odia language while hitting her with a shoe.
The victim had allegedly thrown yellow-coloured rice on her co-passenger while mumbling abracadabra. This led to suspicion among the passengers that she was a black magic practitioner. Some passengers even suspected her to be carrying a human skeleton inside the bag she was carrying.
Since the victim’s co-passengers are speaking in Odia, the incident is likely to have taken place somewhere in Odisha.
