Woman Who Attempted Self-Immolation Succumbs To Burns At SCB

Bhubaneswar: A woman, who had attempted self-immolation due to a family dispute in Kankarailo village under Salipur block, died while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack district.

The deceased woman has been identified as Tilottama Rout. She had sustained approximately 60 per cent burn injuries and was admitted to Salipur Community Health Centre initially. As her condition deteriorated, she was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.

It is pertinent to mention that she had poured kerosene and set herself afire due to family dispute on Tuesday.
