Deogarh: Scores of agitated women and men from Asurkhol village today ransacked a licensed country liquor shop at Bindipur under Tilebani block in Deogarh district.
According to reports, police have arrested 33 persons including women in this connection.
The agitators after staging dharna in front of the country liquor shop barged into it and threw away about 20 litres of country liquor.
They also damaged the pouch sealing machine inside the liquor shop.
The villagers were angry as the local administration which had promised to shift the country liquor shop elsewhere within a week had failed to do so.
