Bhubaneswar: The members of Mission Shakti Women SHGs from Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nuapada and Koraput districts called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas, Friday evening.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister thanked everyone for successfully carrying out the duties of making and delivering the National Flags on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day.
“We are very happy for having had the opportunity of stitching the Tricolour. We thank our Chief Minister for the chance,” the Women SHG members said on the occasion.
“Starting from cooking midday meals to stitching dresses of children, and collecting electricity bills, we are happily doing all sorts of works. And we are happy with it,” they added.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Indian independence, CM Naveen entrusted Mission Shakti WSHG members with the responsibility of preparing and distributing 30 lakh national flags.
