Bhubaneswar: Women beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha will be eligible for cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh, while male household members will receive coverage of ₹5 lakh, announced Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling today.
The scheme, set to launch in Odisha in February, will enable beneficiaries to access cashless healthcare services at 30,000 hospitals across the country.
According to the Minister, approximately 3.5 crore people in Odisha will be issued Ayushman Bharat cards based on e-KYC data. Efforts are being made to ensure that no one from economically weaker sections is excluded from the scheme’s benefits.
A Central team has already visited the state to facilitate the implementation of the health assurance program.
Minister Mahaling also highlighted that Odisha’s health sector is poised for significant advancements in 2025 with the establishment of new medical colleges and the launch of the Digital Health Mission.
He reassured beneficiaries of the Odisha government-sponsored Gopabandhu Jana Arogya Yojana that they would continue to receive health benefits without any disruptions.
