Bhubaneswar: In a bid to accelerate the state’s infrastructure development, Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Tuesday reviewed the progress of major projects and urged officials to ensure timely completion and proper utilisation of budgetary resources.
The meeting, held at the conference hall of Lok Seva Bhawan, saw the Minister closely examining project-wise expenditures of the Works Department and assessing the pace of ongoing initiatives. Minister Harichandan instructed departmental officers to expedite spending while maintaining strict quality standards across all works.
He emphasised the importance of completing key road, building, and bridge projects, as well as the development and expansion of new roads under the Works Department. The Minister also highlighted projects under the Ekamra, Samlei, and ABADHA initiatives, directing officials to ensure these are executed efficiently and within the stipulated timelines.
“Timely completion of infrastructure projects is critical for the state’s development. All officers must monitor work quality and expedite ongoing projects,” the Minister said.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including EIC-cum-Special Secretary, Er. Laxmi Kanta Padhi, EIC (Civil), Satyabrata Behera, EIC Roads, Er. DhyanChand Nayak, and FA-cum-Special Secretary, Ratikanta Mahapatra, along with departmental officers and chief engineers.
