Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here has issued a yellow warning for rain and thundershowers in several districts of Odisha during the next three days. In addition, it said that a cyclonic circulation lies over east Jharkhand and neighbourhood at 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 14.05.2024)
Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places in coastal Odisha, south interior Odisha, and a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.
YELLOW WARNING (BE UPDATED): Thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty surface wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph and heavy rainfall are very likely to occur at one or two places in Keonjhar, Angul, and Dhenkanal.
Thunderstorms with lightning accompanied by gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph are very likely to occur at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur,
Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places in south Odisha and one or two places in north Odisha.

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at one or two places over in Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
