Yellow Warning For 13 Districts; Rain And Thunderstorms Expected In Next 3 Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for 16 districts in Odisha, forecasting light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning and gusty surface winds of 30-40 kmph.

According to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 1:30pm, the affected districts include Khurda (including Bhubaneswar City), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Puri, Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Koraput, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Balasore, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur Jagatsinghpur and Gajapati.

Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious, especially those working in open or vulnerable locations, due to potential safety hazards posed by sudden weather changes.

The warning is valid for the next three hours, and people are urged to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
