Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for five districts in Odisha, predicting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds tomorrow.
According to IMD’s mid-day bulletin, isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, and Mayurbhanj are likely to experience thunderstorms with wind speeds reaching up to 30-40 kmph.
“Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, and Jagatsinghpur & Mayurbhanj”, read IMD’s prediction for tomorrow.
Additionally, dense fog is expected in isolated pockets of Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, and Puri districts. These districts have been issued yellow warning.
Residents are advised to be cautious and stay informed about the weather conditions.
