Yet Again Jeweller Looted In Balasore’s Soro, Bike-Borne Goons Flee With Rs 30 L Booty

Balasore: Close on the heels of a loot incident recently in which a jeweller was attacked and his bag containing Rs 5 lakh worth jewellery was robbed by bike-borne miscreants, last night also such an incident took place in which another jeweller has been looted by bike-borne goons.

As per reports, the incident occurred near Bidu Petrol Pump under Soro Police Station (PS) limits and the victim has been identified as Janmajaya Sahu from Anandpur area of adjacent Keonjhar district. He was on his way to Bhadrak from Balasore. He had with him jewellery worth Rs 30 lakh. Six robbers on two black Pulsar bikes intercepted, attacked him and made away with the bag.

Soro police registered a case basing on Janmajaya’s FIR and got him admitted to the local hospital.

While investigation is on, the locals have been on tenterhooks following such occurrences in close intervals.

Notably, such an incident had taken place at Baghaampuda Chhak along the Mangalpur road a few days ago. Another jeweller has already been looted Rs 5 lakh worth jewellery while no accused has been arrested till date.
