Yet Another Elephant Carcass Found In Odisha’s Paddy Field

Balangir: Close on the heels of a tusker found dead with blood oozing out of its mouth and lying dead in a paddy field of Dhenkanal district a few days ago, this district of western Odisha today witnessed such an incident.

As per reports, forest officials today retrieved a carcass of an elephant from an agricultural field of Ratakhandi village under the Sadar block here in the district.

While the real cause of its death was uncertain, the forest officials have already initiated investigation into the matter.

Balangir Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Samir Satpathy was on the spot for enquiring into the death of the pachyderm.
