Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of the 8th International Day of Yoga (IDY) on Tuesday stated ‘Yoga is a unique asset of the Indian tradition that is admired across the world’.
Patnaik said that yoga helps in maintaining the harmony of body and mind and also builds the immune system. The benefits of regular yoga practice for a healthy and prosperous life are enormous.
“Let’s all practice yoga regularly and help build a healthy, prosperous nation,” he added.
While Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the 8th International Day of Yoga celebrations through a Mass Yoga Demonstration at the Mysore Palace ground in Karnataka, similar events were also organized in Odisha.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw participated in the Yoga Day celebrations at the Sun Temple in Konark. Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu performed Yoga in the event organized at the Maa Kishakeshwari Temple.
Cuttack Mayor Subash Singh also participated in the celebration of International Day of Yoga 2022 at the Indoor Stadium.
