Bhubaneswar: A vibrant “Yoga Utsav” was organised today by the Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan, Nayapalli Yoga District, Odisha, in collaboration with Indradhanu Kshetra and I.R.C Kshetra, with the aim of spreading awareness about the importance of yoga in building a healthy and disciplined society.
The event, held in a serene and disciplined environment, sought to inspire citizens to adopt yoga as a regular practice for overall well-being.
The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by prominent dignitaries, including Pranta Pradhana Suresh Mahapatra, Pranta member Manjula Mishra, District Officer Pradipta Mohanty, Jyotirmay Rath, and Jayashree Panda.
Yoga practitioners showcased various asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques, while bhajans and yoga music created a spiritual atmosphere. Interactive discussions highlighted the role of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental peace, and social harmony.
Several participants also shared personal experiences, narrating how yoga has positively impacted their lives in multiple ways. The event was conducted by Mamata Dash.
Organisers expressed confidence that the Yoga Utsav would leave a lasting impression and encourage more people to embrace yoga as a part of their daily routine.
