Balasore: A young man died after being electrocuted while plucking flowers from a neighbour’s garden. This tragic incident occurred at ward no 5 under Nilagiri NAC in Balasore on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Tapasa Das.
According to reports, a homeowner had electrified the flower plants to prevent theft, and Tapasa Das, who came to pick flowers, suffered a fatal electric shock and died.
Local residents informed Tapasa’s family, who then alerted the Nilgiri police.
Upon being informed, police reached the scene, initiated an investigation, and sent Tapasa’s body for post-mortem examination at Nilgiri Sub-Divisional Hospital.
