Bhubaneswar: A young woman sustained critical injuries after being hit by a ‘Mo Bus’ near Chandrasekharpur petrol pump in Bhubaneswar, on Saturday.
According to reports, the young woman was standing by the roadside when the speeding bus hit her. The bus, reportedly driving at high speed, crushed her left hand and leg. Locals immediately called the 108 ambulance and rushed her to the Capital Hospital.
Eyewitnesses claimed the bus was speeding, which led to the tragic accident.
On a tip-off, Chandrasekharpur police rushed to the accident scene to pacify the agitating people who were demanding compensation for the victim and action against the Mo Bus driver.
Meanwhile, additional police forces were deployed at the Chandrasekharpur police station to maintain order.
