Bhubaneswar: The body of a woman was found hanging in a rented house under Bharatpur police limits in Bhubaneswar.
The deceased has been identified as Bishnupriya Rout.
According to sources, Bishnupriya was staying with her friend at a rented house in a slum. She was found hanging on Thursday. On a tip-off, police seized the body on Friday night and launched a probe into the matter.
A Scientific team was rushed to the spot for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family brought murder allegations against her roommate who was absconding after the incident.
Bharatpur police Inspector-in-Charge, meanwhile, refuted the murder allegations levelled against Bishnupriya’s roommate and termed it a suicide.
The body was found hanging inside the house and the house was locked from inside. So, this is a clear suicide case, informed Bharatpur IIC.
