Bhubaneswar: The body of a young woman was found hanging in her house today afternoon at Dumerchuan village under Kantabanji police limits of Bolangir district.
The deceased has been identified as Anjali Nag.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred while Anjali was alone in her house. While her parents had gone to work, her brother had also gone out of home for some work.
On returning home in the afternoon, Anjali’s brother knocked at the door but did not get any response. He looked inside the house through an opening in the asbestos roof to find his sister hanging.
On getting the news, Anjali’s parents rushed back home and informed the Kantabanji police.
Kantabanji police on reaching the spot, found Anjali hanging with her scarf around her neck. However, it is not yet clear whether Anjali has committed suicide or has been murdered.
