Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a young woman reportedly sustained injuries after jumping out of a moving auto-rickshaw to save herself from potential abductors in Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the victim was traveling in an auto-rickshaw from Acharya Vihar to Nayapalli late at night on Wednesday. Apart from the auto-rickshaw driver, another woman, who was allegedly involved in the kidnapping plot, tried to sedate the victim and overpower the victim.
The young woman tried to resist and eventually jumped out of the moving auto-rickshaw near Jayadev Vihar, sustaining serious injuries. Locals rescued the girl and rushed her to a private hospital.
The victim’s family, meanwhile, lodged a complaint with the Nayapalli police. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case and initiated an investigation and launched a manhunt to identify the perpetrators.
