Rayagada: A young woman died, while five passengers sustained severe injuries after an auto rickshaw transporting 12 people overturned near Don Bosco School at Hirwa village under Muniguda police limits in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Monday morning.
The deceased woman was identified as Tulsi Kusulia.
According to reports, today being the first Monday of the Kartik month, 12 devotees were on their to a Shiva temple on an autorickshaw en route to Kumudabali village under Piskapanga panchayat. As the auto rickshaw reached Hirwa village, the driver lost control on the wheel and the vehicle overturned killing one and injuring five.
The injured have been admitted to the Muniguda Community Health Centre (CHC), while the police seized the vehicle and launched an investigation into the incident.
