Youth Allegedly Dies Of Sunstroke In Binika Of Subarnapur

Bhubaneswar: A 32-year-old youth allegedly died of sunstroke at Binika in Subarnapur district on Wednesday night.

The deceased, identified as Asish Banchhor was working as a sanitation worker in Binika NAC. On Wednesday, he returned home in the noon from his duty and fell sick. His family members took him to Binika Community Health Centre (CHC) in late at night where doctors declared him brought-dead.

The father of the deceased lodged a complaint at Binika police station alleging that his son died of sunstroke.

Police reached the hospital and seized the body for post-mortem.

The medical officer said that some people took Asish Banchhor to hospital at around 3 AM. However, he died before reaching hospital. The reason of his death can be ascertained after post-mortem.

In a separate incident, a minor girl died of sunstroke at Negipali in Nuapada district on Wednesday. The girl fell unconscious while playing under scorching heat outside her home. She was admitted to a local hospital where doctors declared her dead.
