Koraput: The Jeypore Mahila police on Sunday arrested a youth for allegedly molesting a two-year-old girl from Balaput village club house in Odisha’s Koraput district.
The accused has been identified as Ghanshyam Goud (23), a resident of Kusumguda area under B. Singhpur police limits in Odisha’s Koraput district.
Acting on a complaint regarding the abduction of a minor girl, the Jeypore Mahila police about the registered a case and initiated an investigation. Later, the police rescued the minor girl from Balaput village club house and arrested the accused. The minor and the accused have been medically examined.
Jeypore Mahila police station officer Anita Kujur informed that the accused was arrested and prosecuted, while the minor was handed over to her family members.
