Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident a Class VIII girl student became pregnant after allegedly being impregnated by her cousin. The accused has been arrested and forwarded to court.
According to reports, the minor girl, a student of Ostapura Ashram School under Ghasipura police station in Keonjhar, was found pregnant during a medical examination. During an investigation it was learnt that the girl had developed a relationship with her cousin during a recent school vacation, resulting in her pregnancy.
The school authorities reported the matter to the victim’s family and police, who promptly registered a case and began an investigation.
Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accused and sent him to court.
