Bhubaneswar: Kinjirikela police in Sundargarh district have arrested a youth on charges of raping a minor girl inside a forested area near Dandipani Nuadihi.
The accused youth has been identified as Anil Tirkey (21) of Nuadihi.
According to reports, a 15-year-old minor girl had gone to the forested area to collect firewood. While the minor girl was collecting firewood she was allegedly raped by Anil. He allegedly threatened to kill the minor girl if she revealed the incident to anyone.
Family members of the victim lodged a complaint with the police after she narrated her ordeal to them.
Following the complaint, police have registered a rape case and have arrested Anil.
