Puri: A 30-year-old youth was killed after he was brutally attacked by three persons with an iron rod at a roadside eatery near Jatia Baba Chhak under Kumbharpada police limits in Puri in the evening today.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Ladu Naik, a resident of Raybahadur Lane of Gopabandhu Colony of Puri.
Ladu Naik was rushed to the district headquarters hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.
The accused have been identified as Ganga Naik and his two sons namely Sachi Naik and Sundana Naik of Dandimala Sahi.
Police have arrested Ganga Naik and Sundana Naik while Sachi Naik is at large.
Police have seized the body and have kept it at the Post-Mortem Center for the conduct of an autopsy while a scientific team is gathering evidence at the spot of the crime.
The deceased has 12 criminal cases against his name, police said.
