Bhubaneswar: A youth attempted suicide by climbing onto the rooftop of Mangalabag police station in Cuttack on Monday morning. The incident sparked panic, and he was rescued by fire services and hospitalized in critical condition. He is reportedly undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital.
As per reports, the youth reportedly first slit his hand before attempting to hang himself using a piece of cloth tied to a cable wire.
Upon being informed, fire services personnel rushed to Mangalabag police station rooftop and recued the youth. He was taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) in critical condition. However, youth’s identity and motive behind the suicide attempt are yet to be ascertained.
