**Bhubaneswar:** The State unit of Youth Congress on Monday lodged complaint against Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan at Capital Police Station in connection with freedom fighter Laxmi Indira Panda’s grandson Babula’s disappearance case.
Party’s leader Lokanath Maharathy blamed Pradhan for this incident and said that he is personally responsible for Babula’s disappearance as he invited Babula and his family.
Speaking to the media, Maharathi said, “Dharmendra Pradhan is bragging about the event in which the PM felicitated Odisha’s freedom fighter’s kin. He was the one who invited them and didn’t ensure their safe return. He must be held accountable for Babula’s disappearance.”
However, BJP defended its leader and said that Pradhan has never bragged about the event. Speaking on the issue, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma said, “They somehow caught the wrong train. It’s the responsibility of the police department and the government to find him out. But Youth Congress’s complaint against the Union Minister proves that they have a secret alliance with the ruling party. They are now speaking BJD’s language.”
