Balasore: A youth was rescued in a critical condition after being attacked with sharp weapons and left abandoned near a bridge in Gopalpur area under Khantapada police limits of Balasore district on Monday night.
Reportedly, some miscreants forcibly picked up Prashant Jena (33) of Arala village from Gopalpur market last night.
After receiving a complaint from family members, staff from Gopalpur Police Outpost searched for Prashant everywhere and found him in a critical condition near a bridge.
Prashant was immediately rushed to Gopalpur Community Health Centre (CHC). The miscreants had reportedly attacked him on the head, legs, and arms with sharp weapons and had also sewed the injuries.
As his condition was critical, Prashant was shifted to Balasore district headquarters hospital in an ambulance. Previous enmity is suspected to be the reason behind the attack.
