Rourkela: A young man was critically injured in a shooting, involving assailants, near the Traffic Gate market on Ring Road in Rourkela on Monday morning.
The injured man has been identified as Abhesh Ray.
As per the reports, the incident occurred around 9.00 am when two to three attackers opened fire on Abhesh, leaving him with a serious bullet wound.
After the shooting, the assailants quickly fled the scene. Local residents came to Abhesh’s aid and took him to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) for treatment.
After being informed, the police arrived shortly afterward and began investigating the motive behind the shooting.
