Bhubaneswar: A young man lost his life late Tuesday night after his motorcycle was struck by a truck near the Giri Gobardhan Temple on National Highway 57 in Balangir district.
The deceased has been identified as Bhoj Barik, a teacher by profession.
According to reports, Barik was traveling from Dhubalpara to Tarbha when the accident occurred. His motorcycle was hit from behind by a truck near the temple and he died on the spot.
Local residents immediately alerted the police after the incident. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene, launched an investigation, and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
