Sundergarh: A youth was swept away in Ib river after his leg slipped while taking a selfie on Kanakund waterfall here today. The missing youth has been identified as Somesh Mallik of Sector 15 in Rourkela. He had come for a picnic to Kanakund with his friends. According to reports, Mallik was clicking pictures while standing on the rocks of the waterfall, but lost balance and fell into the water body.
His friends called the Fire Services for help as Mallick went untraceable. Till last reports came, the youth could not be traced. Earlier, two people have died while taking selfies at this spot. The video of a young woman from Rajgangpur fell at the same spot and this spine chilling video was viral all over social media.
