Balasore: In a tragic incident, a youth was found hanging inside the room of a hotel at Jaleswar in Balasore district on Saturday.
The body of Supriya Rui Das, a resident of Jayanagar police station area in West Bengal, was recovered from inside room 202 of Golden Guest House in Jaleswar Bazaar.
According to reports, Das had checked into the hotel around 7 pm the previous night and was supposed to check out at 10 am. However, when he failed to respond to repeated calls from the hotel manager, the hotel management informed the Jaleswar police.
A team of police and the tehsildar arrived at the scene and broke open the door to find Das’ hanging body. The police have sent the body for autopsy and are investigating the incident further. The motive behind Das’ alleged suicide is still unclear, and the hotel employees have not commented on the incident.
