Puri: A 21-year-old youth was found murdered near Hotel Sterling Mangala under Baliapanda police station area in Puri.
According to reports, Rajesh was stabbed to death, and his friend is suspected to be involved in the murder.
Police believe that the murder might be a result of a previous enmity between Rajesh and his friend. Before the Rath Yatra, Rajesh’s friend had taken him to Kolkata for work, and a dispute arose over unpaid dues. Rajesh had been demanding his money, which led to a heated argument between them.
Meanwhile, Baliapanda police have started an investigation and have seized Rajesh’s body for post-mortem.
A murder case has been registered, and the police are trying to determine if Rajesh’s friend was alone in the crime or if others were involved.
