Jharsuguda: A youth hacked his mother to death at Ib village under Sadar police limits on Monday night. The deceased Kumadini Bhoi was killed by her son Rajesh over a trivial demand of ‘egg curry’.
According to reports, Rajesh brought some eggs and asked his mother to prepare egg curry for dinner. Kumadini hesitated and refused to do so. Rajesh was irked by her refusal and attacked Kumadini with a sharp weapon.
The woman was killed on the spot. Sadar police rushed to the spot and nabbed Rajesh. The youth was arrested today and forwarded to the court on Tuesday.
