Jajpur: In a shocking incident, a youth went missing after jumping into the river from the Brahmani bridge near Gokarneshwar temple under Dharamchaya police limits in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Sunday afternoon.
The missing youth has been identified as Pican Swain, the son of a Nepala Swain from nearby Valukhai village. He reportedly attempted suicide by jumping from the bridge into the river this afternoon, eyewitnesses said.
Soon after the incident, locals informed the Fire Services department and personnel from the Chandikhol Fire Station reached the spot and launched a search operation. The whereabouts of the youth were yet to be traced till the time of filing this report
