Malkangiri: In a tragic incident, a youth died after being struck by lightning at Gangapada village under Korukonda block in Malkangiri district on Thursday.
The deceased youth has been identified as Sabri Majhi.
According to reports, Sabri had gone to the forest near his village for some work. On his way back to home it suddenly started raining accompanied by lightning. He was struck by lightning and died on the spot. After it stopped raining, fellow villagers came to know about it and informed the police. Police on arriving at the spot seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
