Bhubaneswar: A youth has allegedly killed his friend in a fit of rage following a heated argument at Mudakani village under the Turekela police limits in Balangir district. The incident occurred on Monday evening near the village temple.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Kishore Parabhue, and the accused, Sridhar Sabar, were friends. A dispute escalated into a physical altercation between the duo, which resulted in Sridhar attacking Kishore. Kishore fell on the ground and became unconscious. He later succumbed to his injuries on the way to the Khadial Mission Shakti Hospital.
The family members of the deceased lodged a complaint with the Turekela police. On basis of the complaint, police registered a murder case and took the accused into custody.
The police have also seized the body and sent it to Kantabanji Hospital for post-mortem.
