Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth was spotted lying in a pool of blood in Ashok Nagar area here on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Santosh Kumar Rout, a native of Chhachina village under Mangalpur police limits in Jajpur.
According to reports, Rout was working as a security guard with a private firm in the Capital City. His friends spotted the blood-soaked body of Rout lying a few metres away from his workplace.
Capital Police retrieved the body and sent it for autopsy to Capital Hospital. A murder case has been registered and CCTV footage are being examined to ascertain the identity of the attackers, reports stated.
