Youth Stabs Four Passengers In Govt Bus; Accused Held

Puri: A shocking incident occurred at Kanasa Bindhan Chowk in Puri district when a youth wielding a sharp weapon entered an OSRTC bus and brutally stabbed four passengers.

The attacker, identified as Bharat Bhoi from Sukala area, was later apprehended by the police with the assistance of locals.

The injured passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Two of them were admitted to the Puri district headquarters hospital, while the other two received primary treatment at Kanasa Primary Health Center and later discharged themselves. The attacker, who was also injured after being attacked by locals, is currently undergoing treatment at Puri Medical in serious condition.

A case has been registered at the Gadisha Gada police station, and the incident is being investigated by the police. The Puri Superintendent of Police (SP) has assured a thorough probe into the matter
