Berhampur: A youth was reportedly thrashed to death with a wooden stick and a belt at Keuta Sahi in Humma village under Rambha police limits in Ganjam district.
Reportedly, the deceased identified as Dandapani Biswal of Bada Sahi in Humma had left home last night saying he is going to defecate but did not return home.
Earlier today, his body was found at Keuta Sahi nearly 200 metres away from Humma Police Outpost.
On getting information, SDPO Thakur Prasad Patra reached the spot along with the police team and initiated a probe.
While the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, police have recovered the wooden stick and belt.
