Balasore: A 35-year-old, Uttam Kumar Panda of Sarisa village in Nampha area under Jaleswar police limits has gone missing from January 23. His family has discovered a hand written letter in which Panda has mentioned that he was suffering from a terminal disease.
“I do not want to be a burden on my family. I am in the fourth stage of the disease. Instead of wasting money on my treatment, use it for the education of my daughter. I have transferred my EPF in my wife’s name and shall get around Rs 1.50 lakh from the company,” a part of Panda’s letter read.
Panda works as a laboratory assistant at a pharmaceutical company in Himachal Pradesh. On January 23 night, he went missing from his home leaving a letter behind. His family has lodged a missing complaint with Jaleswar police and released a number to contact them.
